Dale arrived in New Zealand in 2007 with a backpack, a working holiday visa and a can do attitude. Since then he has become an award-winning TV producer, trusted communications adviser to senior leaders and now founder of Better Communicate.
With more than 20 years in journalism at the BBC, ABC Australia and TVNZ, Dale understands exactly how newsrooms work and how to craft a story that cuts through. He has worked behind the scenes and in the spotlight, advising MPs, corporates and industry bodies on how to manage reputational risk, build influence and land media coverage that matters.
Now he helps clients turn complex messages into clear narratives. Whether it is earned media, crisis response or strategic storytelling, Dale brings his honed instincts, big wins and a no-faff approach.

Kate has led cross-functional teams, untangled messy projects and transformed how brands serve their customers. She brings clarity to complexity, cuts the nonsense and gets results fast. A natural strategist with a hands-on approach, she’s also been a set designer, startup founder and camera operator. She even owns a skateboard, which she occasionally uses.
